Background Checks
Notice of Mandatory Level 2 Background Screening
In compliance with Florida Statute § 943.0438 and Chapter 435, PR Blocks requires all prospective employees, athletic coaches, trainers, staff, and volunteers who have direct contact with youth participants to successfully pass a Level 2 Background Screening prior to hire or service.

Scope of Screening
Level 2 background screening is fingerprint-based and includes:

Statewide criminal history checks through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE).

Nationwide criminal history checks through the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

Searches of state and national Sexual Predator and Sex Offender registries.

Verification through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse / VECHS program, where applicable.

Disqualifying Offenses
Screening results are reviewed against disqualifying offenses established under Section 435.04, Florida Statutes, and state youth safety guidelines. Individuals with disqualifying criminal convictions or pending qualifying charges will be ineligible for employment or volunteer service.

Applicant Privacy Rights
Pursuant to the Federal Privacy Act of 1974 (5 U.S.C. § 552a) and 28 CFR 50.12, applicants will receive copies of the FBI Privacy Act Statement and Privacy Rights. Candidates must review these rights and complete a written consent and waiver form prior to or at the time of LiveScan fingerprint submission.
