PR Blocks Inc. Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how PR Blocks Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information. By registering with PR Blocks Inc., you and, if applicable, your parent or legal guardian, agree to the terms of this policy. This policy is governed by the laws of the state of Florida.

 

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information from you and your family:

  • Personal Identification Information: Such as your name, date of birth, address, email address, and phone number. This includes emergency contact information for use in the event of an emergency.

  • Medical Information: We collect medical information, such as allergies, medical conditions, and medications, strictly as provided by parents during registration to ensure athlete safety during training. PR Blocks Inc. is not a physician or medical center, and no advice provided by us should be deemed as such. All members and participants must see a medically licensed professional for medical advice. This sensitive information is treated with the highest level of confidentiality and is stored digitally in encrypted files, accessible only by authorized staff with a legitimate operational need.

  • Performance Data: Including your workout results, personal records (PRs), and other performance-related data, such as heart rate data, necessary to excel in fitness and physical competitions.

  • Photographic and Video Content: We may take photos and videos of you during training sessions, meets, or events.

 

2. How We Use and Share Your Information

We use and share the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To Provide Our Services: We use your personal and performance data to track your progress, develop personalized training plans, and help you achieve your fitness goals.

  • Internal Business Operations: Your information helps us manage your account, process payments, and communicate with you about your training and our services.

  • Sharing with Coaches and Staff: We share your performance and personal information with our coaches and staff to ensure they can provide you with effective and safe coaching and to manage internal operations. Data on staff devices is accessible only to those with a legitimate operational need, and all such devices are required to have encryption enabled and follow our internal data handling protocols.

  • Social Media and Facility Displays: By registering, you authorize us to use your image and performance content in promotional materials, which may include social media posts, flyers, or digital ads. This content may be shared on our social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and X, as well as within our facility, and may include PR celebrations, training clips, and team celebrations.

  • Third-Party Organizations: We may share your information with third-party organizations for the purposes of event registration and meet management. These organizations may include, but are not limited to, Athletic.net, Coacho.com, Milesplit, USATF, AAU, Jacksonville Track Club, other track meet hosts, and timing companies such as pttiming.com. The data shared is limited to what is necessary for registration and includes personal details and performance data as required by the specific event or organization.

 

3. Children's Privacy Policy and Age Verification

We are committed to protecting the privacy of children. This section outlines our specific policies regarding participants under 18 years of age and aligns with best practices under laws like COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act).

  • Age Verification: For governing body memberships and entry into elite track meets, such as the New Balance Invitational or a USATF regional, we will require a birth certificate or other official document to verify the child's age. This information will be used for registration purposes only and will not be retained longer than necessary.

  • Participants Under 13: We will avoid sharing photos and videos of children under the age of 13 outside of membership photos without the express written authorization from a parent or legal guardian. This policy does not apply to our internal coaching, where coaches may use photos or videos to provide feedback on technique, but those will not be shared publicly.

  • Participants 13-18: Consent for photos and videos to be posted or shared on social media and in the facility is obtained from the participant and their parent or legal guardian during the registration process.

  • Photo and Video Opt-Out: We provide a formal opt-out option for all individuals, including children. To opt out, a written request must be submitted to optout@prblocks.com. Upon receiving this request, we will make every effort to avoid using new photos or videos of the individual for public display.

  • Parental Rights: Parents and legal guardians have the right to review, access, and request the deletion of their child's data. To do so, please contact us using the information provided in the "Contact Us" section. We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity as the parent or legal guardian before fulfilling your request.

 

4. We Do Not Sell Your Information

We do not and will never sell your personal information to any third parties. This data, including what is stored on our internal systems, is not shared for commercial gain.

 

5. Data Storage and Security

We take data security seriously. Your information is stored on the following platforms, which are equipped with their own data protection measures:

  • Google Workspace: Google Workspace uses robust security features, including encryption of data at rest and in transit, multi-factor authentication, and compliance with global standards.

  • Apple iCloud: iCloud uses strong security methods, including encryption of data in transit and at rest. Advanced Data Protection, if enabled, provides end-to-end encryption for the majority of our iCloud data.

  • Individual Devices: Data is also stored on the individual devices of our owners and staff members. Our staff is trained upon hire and held accountable to these policies, which are detailed in our employee handbook.

We will retain performance and personal data for the duration of an individual's membership and for up to 4 years after the membership ends to facilitate account reactivation and data retrieval. Photo and video content will be retained for as long as it is deemed useful for promotional purposes or until an opt-out request is received. In the unlikely event of a data breach, we will notify affected parties via email or phone within 30 days of confirming the breach, in accordance with the Florida Information Protection Act.

 

6. Cookies and Website Data

Our website is hosted by Wix.com. As a result, our site uses cookies as detailed in the Wix.com cookie policy. Cookies are small pieces of data stored on your browser. Wix provides tools to help us comply with data protection regulations, and we use a cookie banner to inform you and allow you to manage your consent preferences. You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right to Access: You can request to access the personal data we hold about you.

  • Right to Deletion: You can request that we delete your personal data.

  • Right to a Copy: You can request a copy of the personal data we have collected from you.

8. Legal Disclosure and Jurisdiction

We may be required to disclose your personal information if compelled by law, subpoena, or valid search warrant. We will comply with such legal requirements as necessary. Any disputes arising under this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in St. Johns County, Florida.
